Rodeo 25

Named for the sinking of the Windward Trader in May 1990 in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Pompano Beach Rodeo. The wreck is a 215-foot twin-masted Dutch Freighter and lies 1.5 miles east of the Pompano Pier in 122 feet of water. Both masts are still standing with the wheelhouse at 90 feet and the deck at 105 feet. She is set correctly for penetration with the engine room also providing opportunities for entrance. Many game fish are often seen here and bull sharks occasionally visit this area. The site is accessible with kayaks from the 16th St. kayak launch point.

Because of the depth this is an advanced dive.
